The service
SchoolComs provides you with a dedicated email address, automatically summarises the school communication you forward to it, delivers attachments, and answers calendar/search requests — all via WhatsApp. The address is for forwarded school communication only — please don't route personal email through it.
Trial & billing
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial from signup.
- Thereafter the service costs R50.00 per month, billed as a recurring subscription through PayFast. The first payment is taken when you complete checkout.
- If the monthly price changes, we announce it to you on WhatsApp first. Your next scheduled payment stays at your current amount; the new price only applies from the billing cycle after that.
- If the trial ends without an active subscription, processing pauses; incoming school mail keeps queuing and everything resumes automatically when payment reflects.
- Cancel anytime via PayFast or by messaging us; paid time runs to the end of the billing cycle. Failed recurring payments are retried by PayFast before the service pauses.
Fair use & accuracy
- The service is for personal, family use — one account per WhatsApp number.
- Summaries and calendar entries are generated automatically from your school's emails. While we work hard on accuracy, always check the original email (which we deliver to you) for critical dates, amounts and instructions. SchoolComs is not liable for missed events or losses arising from summarisation errors or delayed delivery.
- Don't use the address for account signups, marketing lists or any unlawful content.
Termination
You may stop at any time (send STOP or cancel your subscription). We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. On account deletion your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
